by Auster, Paul Willy G. Christmas is dying. Okay, Christmas isn't his real name -- he took the name after Santa Claus spoke to him from his mother's television and put him on the path of charity and kindness. Willy hasn't always been able to live up to Santa's standards, see, he has some problems with voices and alcohol, but he tries. He has, however, never failed his loyal companion Mr. Bones. Mr. Bones, the smart and loving mutt who narrates this examination of human, and dog, nature with real heart and soul. Once the inevitable happens, Mr. Bones is at a loss as to just what to do. Auster's short, bittersweet, and often funny look at humanity from a totally new perspective is entertaining and enlightening. - reviewed by Mark, Main Library, PLCMC {mosgoogle}
