Spoken Stick will take place at the Curiosity Bookshop on Thursday the 16th of April. The spoken word and song night will showcase a number of emerging talents of the spoken word and song variety.

Kyle Ligetwood hails from the far flung stretches of Western Australia and will be performing new original poetic material of exquisite detail and form. She has previously performed at the Poetry Slam Competitions at the St Kilda library.

Cate de Carteret is a musician and will be performing songs of the vulgar and sublime. She studies music at NMIT and has performed at a number of spaces including the Bender Bar Thornbury and various incarnation with Roarhouse, a non-for-profit performance association. Julian Lowndes will be performing the poetic alongside Frank Gehrke who will be supporting on guitar with truly atmospheric and jazz inspired improvisations.
