He has worked in community development at a number of disability advocacy organisations, including Villamanta Legal Service, where he was a community legal education worker for over eight years. He has also been involved in` advocacy and community development for people with HIV and AIDS as well as within the gay and lesbian movement. He now works as a community legal education officer with Victoria Legal Aid in Melbourne.
